Coach Kranjc to Speak at 2012 Clinic
"Kranjc, who owns a career mark of 206-47-16 (.841) since becoming the third head coach at Hastings College in 1999, has incorporated a brand of play that is aggressive and attack-oriented, yet effective on both sides of the ball. While defensive efficiency has been the hallmark of Kranjc’s teams at Hastings- the Broncos were the one of the highest scoring teams in the country in 2010 (4.13 goals/game). Hastings also shattered a 35-year record for the most goals scored in National Tournament, previously held by Quincy (IL). The Broncos were also awarded the NAIA Team Sportsmanship award at the 2010 National Tournament - it has been this balanced and dominant style of soccer that has elevated the program to its strong status." 2012 Quickly Approaching
Over the past nine years of coaching soccer and the last two years as the Wyoming Coaches Association Soccer Representative I have seen the sport of soccer change in a variety of ways. The current game is being played by the best athletes in the state, at a high level. With the creation of two classes I have witness an increase in skill at the 4A level. The 3A level is slowly progressing, the largest problem is the realignment of classes and the addition of new schools. The 3A schools are not getting a chance to play the 4A schools as often. As we move forward my goal is to help bridge that gap. I would love to see the Casper Jamboree come back in some form, with every school in the state attending. This would allow 3A schools a chance to play 4A and for coaches to meet become a unified front for Wyoming Soccer. I would like to propose we meet the week after state to vote on All State, this would allow every coach the opportunity to meet other coaches and network. It would also decrease the stress at the state tournament. Communication has been the biggest struggle over the past two year in my position. I would like to get a representative from 3A and 4A to help meet the needs of both classes. This might require some discussion.
I am in the last year of my position. If you are interested in being the Representative for soccer, please let me know. I would be willing to do anouther three years if no one is interested or that is what the coaches want.
