Coaches,
With state soccer approaching we need to start thinking about all-state voting, soccer meeting, and COTY. List below are a couple of issues and things to consider.
1. Only coaches registered with the WCA can vote on all-state. All-state awards are given by the WCA; therefore, only coaches that are current members can vote.
2. Must register before May 16th; registration will be closed after that date. 2011-2012 registration will start on the 16th.
3. Current Bi-laws written in the WCA handbook: “SOCCER--First team All Conference athletes are the only athletes nominated for All State. Association member coaches vote for 3 goal keepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders and 6 forwards. Coaches may not vote for their own players. Top-vote recipients are first team All State.” Total of 25 per class and gender, this was an issue last year, I think we all need to get on the same page this year.
4. 3A we need to be thinking about how we are going to determine all conference players.
5. Please nominate your assistant coaches for the assistant coach of the year award.

Individual Skills Camp in Evanston
UVU women's coaches will be doing an individual skills camp in Evanston June, 20, 21 and 22nd. The camp runs in the morning (No exact times yet) It is held on the field above our high school and the cost is $90.00. Checks can be made to Evanston lady devils boosters. It is open to boys and girls entering 9th grade - 12th grade. If anyone needs more information they can e-mail Brian Richins at brichins@uinta1.com
